F1X Construction Info:
Similar to the Flex Tech construction with its PU stringer but with an additional layer of INNEGRA fibre making it our toughest construction
BLANK: SOLARMADE US Blanks Superfused EPS with PU Stringer

DING RESISTANCE: Our toughest construction, both in terms of ding resistance and life time durability
The concept for this board came to Harty wayyyyyyyy back when he was a kid, watching surf clips of Corey lopex surfing this little fish from lost. He had no clue about the actual design of the board but he knew he wanted something like it, so i tried to create it. The plan was to make a skatey speed demon that would turn Harty into corey, what he actually did was make the first board he ever really felt comfortable on in a range of conditions. Fast forward over 15 years and the weekend rockstar has become the go to performance fish. A user friendly all rounder for your every day surfer, or a super fun creative nugget for team riders and rippers.
The outline is fish based, but if you look a little closer you can see short board features masked in there. The nose is quite pulled in and there is a slight hip in the tail above the front fins, this leads to a very subtle bump behind which the tail is pulled in further. Its a template that makes a lot of sense for forgiveness and or average waves.
The rocker is low but with just the right amount of kick in the tail accentuated by a bit of vee through the back. The middle stays flat and then there is a gentle increase into the entry rocker which sits somewhere in the middle of a standard fish and a small wave shortboard. If you want speed and connectivity, this rocker is ideal.
The foil is forward on this board, more fish based than previous iterations. This was to increase stability and paddle power and enable you to be able to surf it a little shorter without negative effect. The deck line is domed, so removing some foam and whilst dropping into the rails. This comes into play when you are on rail giving you loads of control through turns.
The rails are boxy, with a nice amount of tuck and roll for added forgiveness. It's a fast and smooth ride on the weekend rockstar..
The bottom contours are a soft vee in the nose, leading to a single to double concave with light vee behind the back fin. lots of lift and easy rail to rail transitions. A great combo for less than perfect waves.
The fin set up is a thruster and works perfectly as a twin plus trailer set up. The fcs 2 MRTX set is great on this board. Don't be scared to get in a standard set of thrusters though if you want a bit more hold. The clustered fin set up feels great in beach break waves with the performer fins from Fcs2 in.
Construction options can vary from surfer to surfer. The EPS constructions make for a lighter weight board, that is easier to chuck around. The PU constructions however do work well with its smoother qualities. Either way you will not be dissapointed.
The Weekend Rockstar is your fun machine with performance tendencies. Youmight think of it as just your small wave board but you will end up surfing it all the time for its ease and explosiveness. One of Harty's first ever boards and a true representation of what you need to make the most of the UK waves.
